On Saturday, October 5th, as part of the fifth edition of the biennale svizzera del territorio, an open-to-all walk will take place, organized by the International Institute of Architecture in collaboration with the Territorial Development Section of the Department of Territory (DT) and the De Molfetta Strode Landscape Architects studio.
The event, titled " Spunti per il futuro del nostro territorio ", aims to stimulate reflections on the future of the territory and to strengthen the link between the community and the urban environment. In an inclusive and participatory atmosphere, various guests will moderate discussions on specific issues related to the future of the territory. For example, there will be discussions on how to reconcile human activities with the protection of sensitive areas, as well as on the potential future vocations of forgotten spaces. Other reflections will address the challenges that mobility will face or how the territory will adapt to demographic changes.
During the walk, there will also be a performance by architect and urban planner Paola Viganò, in collaboration with VULCANO from RSI RETEDUE.
The walk will start at 9:30 AM from Maglio, Piano della Stampa.
It will conclude at Villa Saroli Park at 1:00 PM, where lunch will be provided to participants.
The itinerary includes a 60-minute flat walk along the banks of the Cassarate River. There will be 7 stops, with 15-minute breaks at each. Download the full itinerary here.
This is a unique opportunity to walk together and reflect on the future of the territory we live in. Find all the details here.
We look forward to seeing you!
